Welcome

Welcome to the Spring issue of the Charities Management experience – covering a whole range of subjects related to the successful running of charities. Charities Management is a discussion forum for the UK charity sector. Please click on the buttons both at the top and bottom of the screen; they are not duplicates.

Charities Management is a magazine in two separate forms, running as two parallel issues. It is both a comment and information magazine (red livery) wholly accessible via the website, and an online magazine (blue livery) which is emailed out in full to paid subscribers. Special Features appear in both. Both the red livery and the blue livery magazine carry new material every bi-monthly issue. While the full issue of the magazine (blue livery) is emailed out to subscribers, a small portion of the blue livery magazine also appears on the website.

Both the magazine via the website and the magazine via email are unsuitable for ordinary people unconnected with the UK charity sector or outside the UK. Please access the terms of use at the bottom of the screen or on the Home page.

New material this issue includes:

Charities just have to go mobile

Charities and employment law problems

Preventing and dealing with fraud in charities

The City livery companies and their commitment to charity

The new Financial Reporting Standard for charities

CHARITY INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT RELATIONSHIPS

Special Feature

Charity investment management relationships – with comment from Mike Goddings, Helen Harvie, Gina Miller, Paul Mitchell, Rowena White, Sasha Wiggins and Charles MacKinnon.
